Our story begins in New York City 1953, father and son jewelers, at his father Mark’s first store in New York City in 1964.
Humble beginnings – coming from a family owned jewelry and diamond business began in 1953. Born, raised, and currently residing in New York City (the Mecca of the financial world, Wall St. Stock Exchange, and home to the World’s Largest Diamond Exchange) Harry worked in his father’s jewelry business from the age of seven and learned the diamond business from his father’s 60 years in the jewelry business at both retail and wholesale.
Harry O, Diamantaire is second generation in the diamond trade, a GIA Diamond Graduate Alumni, member of JBT, IDEX, RAPAPORT, JA, New York City Diamond Dealer’s Club, DDC Diamond Educational Committee and Associate of the National Jeweler Appraiser Association. With over 40 years of experience and extensive knowledge in diamond production from diamond mining operations, extraction, secondary processing, bruting, cutting, polishing, and an expertise in the newest advancements and technologies in laboratory testing, growing, etc., With a broad and comprehensive understanding and familiarity in the diamond manufacturing business from mine to market as well as jewelry production and fabrication, Harry lectures on many aspects of diamonds, diamond production and the business of diamonds.
